Every company is required by law to instruct employees on occupational health and safety topics as part of its duty of care under Section 12 (1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. It serves to preventively protect employees from hazards in the workplace, accidents at work and occupational illnesses and to raise their awareness.
The basis of the instruction is the risk assessment, which identifies operational hazards in the workplace. Protective measures, such as online instruction, can be determined on the basis of this risk assessment.
