The instruction of employees on occupational health and safety issues is required by law under Section 12(1) of the German Occupational Safety and Health Act and is mandatory for every company as part of its duty of care. The purpose of this is to protect employees preventively against hazards in the workplace, occupational accidents, and occupational diseases, and to raise their awareness of these issues.
The basis for instructions is the risk assessment that identifies operational hazards in the workplace. Based on this risk assessment, protective measures can then be derived, such as online instructions on a specific topic. The risk assessment therefore determines which topics need to be covered in the instruction within the company.
Please note that DEKRA Neo cannot make any recommendations as to which topics you need to provide instruction on in your company.
